I got Mac OS X working on my Eee 1005HA, with stock wifi drivers working. It's my way of giving back to our members who struggle with installing Mac OS X. This guide works as a dual boot as well. I have Windows XP and Mac dual booting without a glitch. As for other models of Eee's, this should work with mostly every model.

  • This worked perfectly on my eee pc 1005hab. I followed the directions and was up and running with working stock wifi!! For some reason, though, the sound kept buzzing. It turns out that if you go to system preferences and then VoodooHDA, the mic gain is turned way up by default. Turning that back down fixed the buzz.

THANK YOU for such a clear and perfect guide!

  • @geneseosteve Glad to hear! :)

  • "While in the settings, change your CONTROLLER from "Compatible" to"ENHANCED", and under it "AHCI". Is this in the IDE Configuration (Advanced settings tab)?

  • Great! tnx will try this.

have you tried updating it to 10.6.7 ?

  • @buda83NS It worked, but broke my resolution. There's a fix for it though.

  • Gonna try this in a bit on my 1005HA-H (Atom N280 1.66, 2GB RAM, Broadcom WiFi).

Most of the tutorials out there are totally retarded, as they require you to have a real Mac or running hackintosh to make a OSX install USB stick from the Retail DVD, which 90% of the people trying to get it to run on a netbook won't have access to *facepalm*

  • When it reboots after installing the os, it only displays a please power off your computer screen. I did 4 times, same screen each time it boots. Suggestions?

  • @solohack3r What's the name of the fix, or do you have a downloadlink?

  • @VZIPTEAM Already Lol?

  • When i try to boot the install DVD, Chameleon says: Mach-0 file has bad magic number and it returns back.

    What's wrong?
