only under 300 cases out of 300000 fieros ever caught fire, why they ever got rid of the fiero is beyond me...German engineering, Italian design and American made cant wait to get my fiero back

My mom had an '84 when I was little.
We lost the car when it had a fire which destroyed pretty much all of the rear end (we got out in time though)!
Now that I'm driving myself, I would absolutely love to have that thing back, even if it meant carrying extra belts along for the ride.

I remember the poor man's ferrari, caught on fire. It was Pontiacs Pinto.

@maddogmcrae Only had a 4 speed tranny. I took a look at one as a kid, it had what appeared to be afterthought tubes running cold air to the engine that I didn't like. The final GT, with the rounder rear end looked decent for a 1980s car.
