Holy crap, its been a while! How could I go this year with out talking about Mastodon - The Hunter. I know this review has been done a billion times, but here is my take on this highly anticipated album.

@mentalfeed70 Metal will never die. It comes and goes in the mainstream in America, but it's huge in South America, Europe and parts of Asia. Metalheads are extremely loyal though so metal will live on forever.

I recently listen to the album. I'm not sure about this, some songs are awesome(Like Spectrelight, Deathbound(Which it's a Limited Edition bonus track), Blasteroids, Curl of the Burl(I had to say it, it's kinda good) & Black Tongue) are awesome, but most of them are just a bore-fest to me. :( But I agree with you with this review. Anyways, good to have you back, fellow metal-head. :)

@MrSplatterPlatter yeah only if you dont know what sludge is...melvins, electic wizard and crowbar are sludge this is alt rock with some metal influences

A gy I worked with a few years ago was into these guys. I am not that familiar with "Sludge Metal" as a whole but these guys are good.

man i like your reviews more than any other reviewer on here. There are some good ones from other guys like coverkiller nation does some good ones, but he's got some ridiculous videos that are just stupid. Yours though are pretty good, and you've turned me on to some good stuff. I'm a huge metal head and dig all kinds of stuff, and listen to tuns and tuns of bands, and I still am discovering new stuff all the time. Keep up the good work, and what do u think of the new Bush. Good or no good.

@jmstr01 thanks, I appreciate it! I have no listened to the new Bush. I am scared to! I am a fan of their first 2 records though. I love me some 90s alternative!
