It's been forever, but I'm back with an update.
For Halloween this year, I dressed up with some friends of mine as Carebears and ran amok in Tokyo. We went to an 居酒屋, took pictures with other halloweeners at Shibuya ハチ公前, and clubbed all night at Ageha for their annual Halloween celebration. DJ Taku was present spinning some awesome music, and overall it was a great night.
Check out RoninDave's YouTube channel. He's an interesting guy with some great videos about Japan - http://www.youtube.com/ronindave
Today's cultural lesson is about Tokyo's infamous Yamanote Halloween Train:

The lowdown varies depending on who you talk to (and if they're a foreigner or native Japanese), but aside for a few isolated events, it's usually a harmless and ragingly fun gathering to celebrate Halloween.
Check me out on twitter. I'm always open for questions, suggestions, and ideas on what to vlog about.
