Today on GEARZ, Stacey finally puts an end to the controversy on all the Bigfoot sightings, and offers proof that Bigfoot does exist! And he lives in St. Louis! Sound crazy? Not really, because St. Louis is the home of Bob Chandler... the mad genius behind the Bigfoot Monster Truck. On this special episode of GEARZ, Stacey rolls through the unique history of not only Bigfoot, but the whole Monster Truck genre. If you've ever wondered how these big, smoking, monstrous beasts came to roam the planet, then this is one history lesson you don't want to miss! After that, Stacey shows you how to get the best of both worlds by shaving the original door handles on a classic muscle car, and installing some smooth modern handles... WITH A VINTAGE LOOK!! A perfect combination? WE think it is, but before YOU can vote, you have to see the show!!

  • @kumquatsta 5 tons have higher gear ratio: 6.44 vs 6.72, same width, hub can be flipped based on brakes, are 1/3 heavier stripped, and have bigger everything internal. 5 tons have fewer aftermarket support, require a forklift to service, require ridiculous amounts of steel to manage the suspension....etc etc etc.

  • @MullinPerformance good points. are the 5tons significantly stronger than the 2.5ton rockwells?

  • @kumquatsta

Axles = 5 ton military planetaries and Detroit lockers

That was copied right from bigfoot's web site. Most rockwell's you see guys using now a' days are 2.5 ton. Miss Bigfoot was one of the first hybrid mud truck/monster truck that used 2.5 ton rockwels with 48 inch tires. If you think about, they used to crush cars with those 48's...now they have street legal 55's

  • @MullinPerformance really, like rockwells? those tires look a little too big for even rockwells to handle. but then again, its not like they're driving the truck hard

  • @kumquatsta I think those are 5 ton military axles..

  • what kind of axles were used on the bigfoot at the end with the clown on the motorcycle?
