A Portland & Western mixed manifest train heads through Rainier, Oregon. P&W unit # 2314 "McMinnville" is on the point. The train stops so the locomotives mirrors can be adjusted before the train continues west through Rainier.

  • HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA - thats me! We stopped so my condustor could cut most of the logs off and the horn is a badly tuned M3... The 2314 is really good at getting car alarms - and, on a completely unrelated note, is my favorite GP39-2 on the property.

  • @csxt6573 If I remember correctly a some mechanics had to come out and take a look at the locomotive, what was going on with the unit. By the way I like your video dedicated to the oakway units how many are still in service after 2008?

  • Love how it sets the car alarm off :-)

  • @BigtimeJimmy21 I like that car alarm deal myself.

  • Have you ever been to the POTB?

  • @daltonauto what is the POTB?

  • @wsuraifan That was almost 4 months ago.... I have NO idea. They may have been changing brake shoes (even though I usually did that) or something.

As far as the Oakways go, they're slowly starting to reappear out west - BNSF kept the lease on 50 of them, so there are 50 Oakways left - the other 50 went into the GMTX fleet and basically lost all identity. You can tell they're former Oakways, but alot has been painted out on some of them, including the EMD 3 which is now GMTX 9041 :(

  • @wsuraifan Port of Tillamook Bay RailRoad, a very beautiful, scenic line.

  • @wsuraif Thank you for your answer. And Japan no alternatives to big scale is so amazing.an

  • Have you tried DVX compression software. Since I started posting HDV, I have used DVX with great results and I still have 1080 HDV. I am at dfm@sscom.org and would rather comment there since its my own isp.
