you'd be better to work small at least initially, small figures under 3cm height, get it looking right when small and then square it up and enlarge it to whatever size.
If your in a big hurry you could have a series of small figure drawings in different poses already drawn, just find the pose closest matching make any adjustments to this and then enlarge it

just started on life drawing@college. we r told to speed up, and enlarge. if its small i can make it accurate. large and uick is hard. but i live your stuff. and was amazed to see your 49 lololol. you look 35.
