really ? did that have a purpose or was it just for fun. because if had a purpose to like cure a disease or somthing then thats cool but if not that was just pointlessly killin an egg that could have been used to lay other eggs or to become fried chicken later down the road....... or a pet to some one since im fixing to get a cute fluffy chick. Well, it's not like we're sacrificing these animals for pleasure. All vertebrate work in labs is regulated by the government. When you submit a research proposal to get money for your projects you need to explain why you need to use these animals and what measures you will take to minimize the amount of animals that are sacrificed.

I just did this too. Except I electroporated the midbrain. Quite cool and looks amazing under fluorescent microscope.
