  • HIFU is not indicated for salvage after radical prostatectomy, it can be used for salvage after external beam radiotherapy.

  • Thank you for your response. I'm not a fan of radiation therapy as it reduces future options should it fail. Thanks again.

  • Can HIFU be used to replace salvage radiation for those patients who have experienced recurrence after radical prostatectomy?

  • this looks like a better option then prostectomy. there are going to be some new tests coming out in the next year that will test the aggressiveness of the prostate cancer which should help in selecting the best treatment. best of luck to anyone out there with PCa.
