Its even bigger when Carlos Hathcock was my child hood IDOL. Being a sniper in Vietnam as well as winner of the 1965 Wimbleton Cup (1000 yards).
Really, I want to be a SEAL but shooting like this is a great opprtunity I cant pass up. It'll help me use my skills in a conflict somewhere on the globe.
My journey begins in september...

I met this guy at a gun shop I go to and he introduced me to a junior shooting program.
He taught the Army Marksmanship Unit and he told me straight faced, "You are at the perfect age to begin target shooting." He continued, "You could get your groups so small with the right instructing that you would say Carlos Hathcock did nothing special. You could be the BEST in the world."
I was stunned. the thought of being the best in the world is a big thing for a 15 year old kid.
