  • The LFO seems to have a weird shape at the lowest frequency, i.e. not quite the waveform it's claiming to be.

  • @acousvnt Yes, it's true. I don't know why it is, but I kind of liked it.

  • Very cool synth - and a great review. I'm especially impressed by the env to lfo control; not even many 'real' synths feature that!

  • @MarcJX8P Thank you!

  • That thing is so awesome. I wish I had more time to play with it at Moogfest. Such a wonderful teaching tool and you can make some fun sci-fi sounds with it too.

  • @theshaggyfreak Yes, this was available for playing at Moogfest! People enjoyed the heck out of it... I'm glad you did.

  • you're using my audio interface! :O :D or looks like....

  • Weirdest looking synth I have seen in a while. I like it very much.

  • Also, that trigger switch already needs cleaning, since it's producing double triggering occasionally when quickly released... Maybe a "de-bounce" circuit could be added ?

  • Nice. But from a standpoint of being and educational tool, the lowest frequency of the modulation should reflect exactly the waveform selected, so that synthesizer neophytes could hear in "slo-mo" what that waveform does to the pitch of the oscillator section. If Dr. Moog were alive, I'm convinced he would have the case opened by now trying to correct this minor glitch...

  • Mark, thanks for that I found it really interesting

  • Ugh, I didn't mean to link to the nine minute mark in the video... I was just talking about a knob position!

  • @AutomaticGainsay Once the knob is up to about "9:00", it sounds correct... probably something to do with how the electronic circuitry tries to hold and release a charge in a certain way. Also, I quite like the idea of "listen" buttons at each stage. That might not be a bad idea for other (not just "educational") synths to incorporate!
