I'm usually well in control of my emotions. But we watched this video in a health class in college. I was finding it very hard not to cry and then when Rick talked about what he'd do if he wasn't in a wheelchair I lost it. Made me think about all the sacrifices my own dad's done for me. When they turned the lights on though I was happy to see I wasn't the only tough guy wiping his eyes. God bless these two. Someday you'll get to push your dad Rick.

@ThePabloclark Just goes to show... never give up on someone because of what they seem. Give them a chance. I personally was deemed terminal... that was 11 years ago. Last month, I rode in a 120 mile single day bicycle event across the Rocky Mountains, The Triple Bypass. Not considered terminal any longer.

@kickfunk They're pretty inspiring, I agree. I don't know them personally, but I've known a few other people like Rick who have amazed me with all they've accomplished, in spite of the obstacles their disabilities create.

Yeah. They're pretty amazing. I wish more parents gave their disabled kids the chance to show their true potential... Too many give them up as lost causes. I know one man with the same potential Rick had, but only as an adult has had the opportunity to reach it... because he was treated as a vegetable throughout his childhood... but in reality had a brilliant mind locked in a body that just didn't work.
