I remember when this originally aired in its full 1-hour format because not only is it the only multi-part sketch ever aired on LAS but because I laughed till I cried at its completely unexpected conclusion. You really can’t fully appreciate this sketch unless you see it stretched over an entire hour (the closing credits immediately followed part 3) because the tension kept building in anticipation of how this drawn-out insanity would resolve itself. But you’d never think it would end like THIS!

Heh! The movie 10 years later.

Great to know, and thank you too.
If enough people sign it, maybe CBS/Paramount will take notice and continue issuing the rest of the series. ;-)

Got your message, thank you for the reply. I will certainly check out the petition & do all I can to help out with that. I do have 12 episodes of season 1 of the show on DVD, & am waiting for more to bed released.

Luvthoseclips, I couldn't agree more. It's a gross misuse of computer technology. Also, 25 + years ago, many local stations would just cut the closing theme off after a few seconds so you couldn't hear the theme music OR read the credits.
Only Season 1 has been released on DVD so far. If you want to see more seasons on DVD, please enter "Love American Style Petition" into google so you can visit the petition site & add your name. And a big thank you to TerryT1976 for creating the petition!

The actors in this clip are Mary Grover and Bill Callaway. They were among the many actors who were part of the Love, American Style Players Troupe.
Part of the charm of Love, American Style on TV Land, is something they won't do anymore...& that is....they won't air the classic ending theme songs & "let them play". Instead, they now continue to block out the themes & replace them with those damn lousy ads.....they've gotten into this habit now with all the other stations that have started doing that. Television's just not the same anymore!

That was FUNNY! Totally unexpected. LAS had some of the best writers and actors. I wish TVLand would air it late at night. Thnx for the post!
