  • It`s Stacy Francis from X Girlfriend who was in Mama I Want to Sing with Doris Troy & Chaka Khan

  • This is pretty...

But I would love to see a video of JUST Ruthie singing JUST "No one is alone."

Cause I can barely hear her here.

  • The other lady is called Stacy Francis. She performed earlier that night the title song from the musical "Mama I want to Sing". I had this on video and wore it out so I'm so glad that it's been posted on here!!

  • The woman with Ruthie is Stacey Travis who was in 'Mama I Want To Sing' at the Cambridge at the time of these Oliviers. I think it's a great juxtaposition of styles, Sondheim purists need to relax. It was 15 years ago. Thank you to the poster, i've been looking for this for a very long time. x

  • Huh. Rusty from footloose singing sondheim? weird combination. I really like the other woman though. Although "rusty" over powered her a bit.

  • WHY DOES BROADWAY HAVE TO RIFF LIKE THAT! OMG! wrecked one of the most beautiful songs! Who does she think she is, Whitney? Its awful, I'm not even sure Mr Sondheim would aprove. Ruthie is great, understated in the true english west end way.

  • I think that the other woman with Ruthie is Nicola Hughes, she was in Fosse in West End and recently in Porgy and Bess in West End, last year I believe ... she is great!

  • she looks so young
