It is not the DAY he was there that is important. He was there doing whatever he could. The proof is in the fact that things are improving in Lousiana bacause of him. New Orleans is 17 feet below sea level and if I lived there before Katrina I would find someplace else to live.

wininatechie- Say what you want . Bottom line is the man is a  good governor for Louisiana, Ya'll don't want to see him as a President. NO PROBLEM. WIll keep him for a governor. The man proved himself here and is doing a great job. People are judging him on how he looks and talks. We judged him on his work and thats what counts.

I'll say it again since Karalann has difficulty reading. Jindal wasn't there when Harry Lee was on the phone. He was there a week later at least, according to 2 of his staffers: Melissa Sellers, his spokesperson and Timmy Teepell, his Chief of Staff. Now if you think his staffers had no clue what really happened then you are saying Bobby Jindal was incompetent in hiring them and they are both liars.

Using a straw man argument on the media by calling it the left wing media does not do justice to the fact that you do not rely on one primary source for information. One person's statement is not always enough for the truth. Jindal's spokespeople all changed Jindal's story after he said it on tv because what he said wasn't the truth. He wasn't there when the phone conversation happened and he didn't do anything to help get boats into the water for that incident. His staffers said so.

Basically Jindal made up the story that he was there on the spot defending Sheriff Harry Lee. In the video Harry Lee is embellishing Jindal's role because he wasn't there the day after Katrina. Jindal wasn't even there when Harry Lee had his phone conversation a week after Katrina. This reminds me of Former FEMA director Michael Brown's embellishment of his resume.  That's what Jindal is trying to do with his reputation. In Brownie's case, the embellishment cost thousands of lives.
