Titanium fire extinguished with FEM-12 SC and attempt to re-ignite. The only fire extinguishing agent to successfully extinguish this material. FEM12 SC approved for use at all US airports by the US government agency FAA. Successfully tested by the US Air Force Fire Research Lab.

  • @raptureorbust You have to be careful that you do not re-ignite the Ti. I would wait until the temperature reaches ambent temperature beneath the salt. This may take a fday or two depending on the size of the burning Ti.

  • when salt is used to extinguish a Ti fire, is it safe to remove when the Ti's temp is lowered?

  • WOW!  liquid on a Ti fire is very dangerouse. Salt is best. But that stuff is amazing. I deal with titanium fires almost daily. Good job guys.

  • This metal burns at almost 6,000 degrees F. This is some amazing agent.

  • Amazing that they tried to reignite it and the fem-12 would not allow it to burn!!!!!
