What has having dirty dishes in the sink and making a product by which a company (and its owners) get rich but which is poisonous got to do with each other? Nothing. So it's okay for a company to make and distribute a product known to be a hazard, make a profit on it at others' expense (both now and in the future -- because just because the lead paint is there currently does not mean that the occupants put it there)? Ridiculous. I'm glad she will face recall elections in 2012.

Not 100% sure how parents of children suffering from lead paint exposure having dirty dishes means that you deserve to avoid paying the penalty if the product you put on the market hurts people.
Even if the parents are dirty people, how does that contribute to lead paint poisoning and how is that the childrens' fault? There is such a thing as "personal responsibility," and then there is such a thing as "helping others avoid responsibility because they pay you alot of money."
