SYNOPSIS: I Lost My Job is a short documentary film which sets out to explore the phenomenon which is affecting and due to affect many people's lives - namely, technological unemployment. The documentary also examines what we can do about it as a society through the analysis of a transitional direction.

Particular questions need to be raised about this subject. What are the social consequences of ongoing technological unemployment within our current economic system? How do we handle such a situation when this process is inevitable with the ongoing emergence of machine automation and new technologies taking over repetitive jobs?

I like this documentary, this is a realistic goal. By gradually shorting week hours, not only does this has benefits in terms of happiness, but it will move us closer to a resource based economy, so in the future, society will have an option to move towards such a system.

I look forward to my country "United States" to obtain a work week below 20 hours.

That whole thing has 1 big problem which kills it: the majority of humanity is stupid and lazy. Otherwise we already would have a different society. Look at all the people who spend their money on crap, eat crap, live like crap and then complain about their crappy life. If you want change, then change first.

What will happen is that decentralizing technology will become widely available. People won't need to work to get the things they need. This also means that we won't need to throw our money at corporate and financial oligarchs either. The reason why we can't progress as a society is because the people running the establishment block change as the status quo works well for them as is. This is a good thing. It ensures that they'll keep selling us the rope we are slowly hanging them with. Chin up.

I think good! It's enough of excluding people for minimum life quality and realize that the "meritocracy" is a false idea. All humanity has to gain with this, because much more people will be healthy to contribute to a better world.
