Inventor Brian Hageman built a Freon compressor to prove the NE Engine's gas compression ability. The bench test provided about 2 tons of air conditioning through an American Standard condenser and typical in-home HVAC cooling unit. The configuration of the NE Engine is a two-cylinder horizontally opposed cylinder set that has become a versatile workhorse in design of many applications. Two liquid CO2 reservoirs heat and cool in opposite cycles simplifying the design that can provide cooling in homes, businesses, shopping malls and industrial applications. The elimination of the electric motor compressor will prove to be the most significant advancement in refrigeration since the development of the Freon air-conditioning cycle.
