Qualicaps, a manufacturer of two-piece capsules and capsule manufacturing equipment for the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industries, have developed the JCF-40, which can fill capsules with powders that have a wide range of properties. The Auger system, which uses a rotating screw shaped mechanism keeps the filling material in continuous motion, allowing for smooth and accurate filling. The machine works by using three rollers to process the cap and body capsules in the hopper, with the caps transferred to the cap disc and the body transferred to the body disc, ready for filling. The powder the gets inserted into the body which is then lifted and bonded with the cap. The bonded capsules are then ejected from the machine. The process restricts defective capsules from entering the filling process as well as eliminating processing problems such as deformation, abrasion, and peeling.
