Just my reaction to VFX's video response to TheAmazingAtheists questions. He didn't even really answer all of the questions. I just had to say something, his video was very enraging.

  • You know, regardless of who's correct in this whole argument, why is it that I'd rather spend time with VFX than you? The things that you were saying would scare me even if I did agree with you. There has to be something to the fact that when VFX is debating someone he does it with respect, and you can't go 5 seconds without using a swear word. If we truly are here just to enjoy life and have fun, then VFX is doing a much better job than you are

I'd also like specifics on what it is that I said that scare you.

  • Morality can never be objective. Morality is INTER-SUBJECTIVE. It takes a CONSENSUS people's opinions of what is good and what is evil to enact morals.

  • @papasazz By the way, I would like an explanation as to why you would say that my character was publicly exposed as well. The implication there is that me not giving reverence to bullshit, and treating people's religious ideas the same as I do any other idea I find to be ridiculous, is somehow in the same league as defrauding a childrens' hospital, and making false accusations about people being pedophiles (among other things), is rather ridiculous.

  • @papasazz

But no one is being held accountable to a god, you must know that I hold this position. So basically, you are saying you like him better because he begs forgiveness for his sins from the same imaginary sky daddy that you do. When I do something wrong, I apologize to the people I actually wronged, not my imaginary friend. You think that pretending that your invisible friend is holding you accountable is better than actually being accountable to the people who exist?

  • @FearsEdge Your character has been publicly exposed as well. In my judgment, you're much more cold-hearted and condescending than VFX is. But that's just me after watching a couple of your videos and a couple of his, I've never personally met either of you. I would say though that it's easier to trust someone who is being held accountable to an almighty God than someone who chooses to do "good" just because they know how it feels to have "evil" done against them.

  • @papasazz

What's the point in pointing out that he's a liar and a thief? Because I have empathy. Do you? Do you know what it's like to be lied to or stolen from? Can you then empathize with the people who were stolen from and lied to? How does the lack of objective morality have any bearing on this? Also, I don't appreciate you attempting to change the subject. I asked you why you would rather hang out with him, seeing as his character has been publicly exposed.

  • @FearsEdge I see you're making several attacks against his character, but what's the point of that if there's no objective morality? (Which I would assume you believe as an atheist)

  • @papasazz

By the way, He's an admitted thief who probably still lives with his parents, who by his own admission couldn't hold down a job without harassing people. You like him more? Why, because he shares your religious views?

  • @papasazz

By the way, I don't believe in profanity, it's an ancient concept with no merit. If you don't like the words I chose to use, then that's your problem. The people who are still ridiculous enough to believe in profanity can be offended when I say things, it just tips me off who the irrational people are.

  • @papasazz

If you are making assumptions about how I live my life based on a 10 minute video, then you clearly don't care about the truth.

And no, VFX does not debate with respect. He is consistently condescending, his arguments are ripped to pieces easily, yet he never admits when he states known falsehoods are straight-up lies. He is a liar, a thief, and has no shred of honesty or integrity. If you think that you can be respectful in a debate without honesty or integrity, you're wrong.
