It's a vapour trail. A very high altitude aircraft flew over twenty minutes before I grabbed that shot, leaving a beautiful straight contrail. As I worked outside over the next quarter of an hour I saw it gently and slowly get pushed out of shape until it looked like a meandering river. Really great image. THAT was the shot I wanted but things conspired against me. By the time I'd sorted the camera another five minutes had passed and all I could do was grab this in the setting sun. Still unusual
