Well, Bit shifter's music isn't based off of a video game. It's just made using a Gameboy's sound chip so it sounds like old game music as it's played on the same "instrument" if you will.
Either Bit Shifter or Nullsleep went on a rant at a concert I was at about how his music is nothing to do with video games. I found this to be a very pretentious and insulting though. What's wrong with video game music? Is there something wrong with a musician or composer because he makes music for games?

Plus it's kinda funny, Bit Shifter did all of the music for the game "Bit Trip Beat"

@FakeKraid it's not that its insulting. we make music from the game boy in order to show our appreciation towards that era, between 1989 and now. but the 8bit sound chip, found in even classic casio keyboards from 85 and amiga computer sound chips, the dot matrix, all these sounds can be used in order to make music. i've been making chip for just over 5 years now, and i've experienced with various chipbent consoles and cartridges, and programs, it's about the music, not the legacy.

@TicoMachi Well, he didn't compose the music for the game as much as he provided several tracks from his contemporary album.

Playing a video game that's creating a level based off of music that's based off of a video game. Heh.
Glad everyone enjoys this video, and the music. I highly recommend downloading Audio Surf, and playing your music! definitely interesting to see how a gameplay track in Audio Surf conforms to a music track.
