This is some footage of a diffusion cloud chamber, made for a college project.

The detector is made out of MDF plates glued together as air-tight as possible. The top and bottom are made of aluminum plates. Cloth of some sort is soaked with isopropyl alcohol (2-propanol) and attached to the top plate. The detector is then put upside-down for about twenty minutes in order for the isopropyl alcohol to vaporize and fill the entire box.
The box is then shut and placed upside-up on a tub made out of polystyrene. The tub is filled with liquid nitrogen. Over the nitrogen we placed another aluminum plate with four brass screws in it in order to improve the cooling of the gas in the detector. When the gas in the detector cools down, a layer of gas in the bottom of the detector becomes supersaturated.
When a particle passes through the supersaturated gas, it ionizes molecules of isopropyl. The ions then move towards other ions or away from them. Because of the supersaturated state of the gas, the little increase in energy due to their movement is enough to condensate the gas, leaving a white trail in the particles trajectory.

I've placed annotations near a few trails in the beginning to help point out what you should look for. Enjoy.

  • I would suggest that before people talk about Tesla, they at least read his patents. Most of what is written today is pseudo-scientific ****.

  • @roderik1990 yea man me too, i am still skeptical about the whole process, but i tried the basic experiments to help get the word out and see if what was described in the patent is obtainable, you would need some money to truely test this system out, tesla was the only one making radio back in the day, so he would have had the perfect environment to show the cosmic ray energy levels at the colorado springs facility. radio interference can cause some trouble these days, even with a cage.

  • @roderik1990 i carried out some basic experiments and also there are people who also tested my setup and there was a baseline voltage in the radiant energy setup from the tesla radiant energy patent. this rules out radio waves as being the major cause of the energy, people have taken this to the deserts to show that there is a slight voltage, the major cause being highly charged particles passing thorough matter and leaving a slight charge behind, this is true with lightning charge buildup above

  • @boxa888 If it's true than that is pretty cool, but I prefer to remain sceptical.

  • @roderik1990 fact is tesla did discover cosmic rays 30 years before hess, thats not pseudoscience, right in the radiant energy patent 1901.next there are forms of fast and slow radiation from neutrons as well as other particles, this can be the difference in a nuclear reaction, same with cosmic rays, there are energetic particles that are traceable and there are particles highly energetic in the gigavolt and above range that are barely detectable, but contain large amounts of energy passing through

  • I'm sorry but I'm not interested in stuff that seems too much of a pseudoscience.

while some of the physics may turn out fine, the way you describe it just makes my mind more and more suspicious. add to that the fact that none of these ground-breaking inventions got known and recognised. and you should understand why I don't believe you.

  • @roderik1990 HEY just do the research, there are even multiple patents on cosmic ray collectors and batteries, the best one is a opposite particle accelerator which absorbs particle energy from slowing them down instead of speeding them up, for a energy transfer there is always a mirrored reciever of energy. you just got to research it, tesla was the first, and the discoverer of cosmic ray radiation, 30 yrs before hess.

  • @boxa888 neutrinos carry less energy than most other particles. and they hard to detect, let alone use them as an energy source.

also you are attributing nikola tesla with doing something which is physically impossible

  • Looks great!! Nice work!

  • nice! did you know nikola tesla harness a form of the cosmic rays to run motive devices, these cosmic rays are of the lower energy state, but he was harnessing a form that was even more energetic than these particles that is alot harder to stop and go straight through everything, some call them nutrinos, but he was able to harness them as the ultimate energy source becuase they are everywhere!
