This take of the Pony Express lift was filmed a few days before the other take, with cloudier skies.
This lift is a 1998 built Garaventa CTEC high speed quad. It has 15 towers and 54 chairs, and services the Pioneer Ridge area just north of Storm Peak. It is designed to be low in capacity, as evidenced by the large chair spacing.
This lift was originally painted dark blue with the words "Pony Express" printed in an old-western typeface, but in 2010, the lift was repainted in this red and gray paint scheme to match the other high speed quads at Steamboat.
