After installing my strut brace I wanted to see if I could feel any difference with the steering and feeling of the suspension. I was immediately impressed by how much the strut brace reduced flexing and movement between the two strut towers. I don't know why something like this did not come stock on the E39. In my opinion this is the cheapest/easiest mod you can do and immediately get something out of it

  • Thank you for the video, but could you explain what you mean by tighter?

I am investing in suspension add on, and the strut bar is going to be my first, but a bit skeptical at the moment.

  • @traxxasslash26 The steering feel is tighter and snappier. This brace essentially eliminated chassis flex in the front end by tying the opposing strut towers together. The towers normally would flex and move independently from one another without being braced. This makes the front end feel sloppy under hard cornering. Look at any race car or sports car...all of them have some type of bracing like this for that reason.

  • @foleygac Oh awesome! Thanks!

BTW what mod would you reccomend doing first, Sways or strut bar?

  • @traxxasslash26 Depending on the type of car you have it could be more beneficial to do sways first. Mine on this 5-series are pathetic.

  • Will it make your car louder as well?

  • @Deadmansp8 No.

  • @nigz209 Oh yeah? Normally, I don't respond to comments like this but in your case I'll make a special exception and yes you should feel honored...

I think your Mom should have swallowed you when you came out of your Daddy's dick.

Thank you sir and have a good day.

  • @Gazzz87 Sorry, I don't understand your question.

  • @foleygac Fantastic! thanks man, I have opted to do sways first!

    Thanks for the help

  • @TheVengefulCo Yeah, they are pretty common to be found on sports cars. The 370's have the same looking strut brace. But remember, it doesn't have to be pretty to be funcational. :)

  • My 07 350z came with one in the front and back stock =] haha. it doesnt look as cool though, its sorta plain.

  • All you morons are dumb who think this doesn't help. This is one of the best easiest mods to install for driving. And yes you can notice the difference.
