Burmese junta television covers UN envoy Ibrahim Gambari's fifth and final day in the country, during his third visit since the September 2007 slaughter of civilians.
Here Mr. Gambari is given his send-off by the junta's Information Minister Kyaw Hsan, who had blasted him in a 2 hour tirade on Friday. He thanks Gambari for his "constructive suggestions" (which were all firmly rejected) and ends the meeting with a veiled warning: "We anticipate your constructive reporting when you arrive home." The regime was furious with him over statements following his previous trip, and his carrying of Aung San Suu Kyi's statement to the outside world.
