The most influential piece of literature in the twentieth century was the gospel tract. Why? Because it reduced the gospel to sound bytes and because it has framed how many Christians now understand the gospel message. What might surprise us is that the central idea of Jesus' teaching—the coming kingdom of God—does not appear in any of the gospel tracts. Why is that? Have we only relied on Paul's version of the gospel? Is it possible, many are asking, to combine the gospel of Paul with the gospel of Jesus? Which leads to this question: What is the gospel? And to this one: Did Jesus himself preach the gospel or not?
Now, Scott what does Christ suggest about the gatherings of believers we call the church? Should there be all these separate gatherings grouped by microtheological differences the world over? How will we stand before Him when He prayed that we be one as He and the Father are one.
BTW, good first step on refocusing the Gospel message to the Good News about Christ...now, let's combine it with the practical message of how it gets lived out that Paul, Peter, James, John, & Jude shared.

Scot, Theo did not get to know Miami very well. Our restaurants are not like the ones in Dallas, or Los Angeles (fast food yes, but there are no "La Carreta's in Dallas" - and it's really hard to find a good Cuban coffee anywhere outside of Miami. That said, great thoughts on the Gospel!
