  • The tune that starts around 3:00 with the trombones/low brass, what's that tune/piece called?

  • The Eyes of Texas

  • It's funny that this arrangement of March Grandioso was actually Texas Tech's first...hmm. I do have to say that the Aggie band can march any Texas school into the ground. Marching.... that's all they do. You just can't hear them.

  • Actully there's only one arrangement of March Grandioso... and thats the original one composed by Roland Seitz. And I don't see how its funny that Texas Tech then started playing the march before Texas. And I don't know about you, but I can hear the aggie band just fine during halftime.

  • correct me if I'm wrong, but girls aren't allowed in the aggie band. that's sweet! sexism at it's best!

  • Yes you are wrong, girls currently are allowed in the aggie band. Although that wasn't the case back when A&M wasn't coed university obviously.

  • Sure.... whatever you say....

    Hook 'Em Horns!

  • As a former LHB member, I will not disagree that the aggies are VERY good at what they do. But the styles are two very different ones. I'm not saying the Aggie Band isn't good, I'm just saying they have a different style. Give the LHB their typical drunken week, and we will, as always, beat the Aggie band at halftime. Even if you do beat us in the actual game...BOO!!

  • @zitpit I didn't know marching in straight lines the whole time was considered marching someone into the ground...

  • @Perryownsyou It is the Trio to a song called "March of the Longhorns" It isn't a new song, just the second part.

  • no the Eyes of Texas. It's the second half of March of the Longhorns

  • Thank you~

  • Actually, it's "The March of The Longhorns", which runs from 2:26 to 3:35. The melody at 3:00 shares the motif of

"The Eyes of Texas", but it is a different song. You can hear the announcer say it.

  • BUFFS, BUFFS.... BUFFS EAT SH*T!!!

  • I love the Longhorn Band and Love to watch them, screw goin to the bathroom at half-time, I can do that after their show. LOL I don't ever miss it. The aggies problem is they almost always dothe same tired ass crap everytime, but don't get me wrong, they are a very good band and hve to give 'em props on their execution of movement. Hook'em!!
