ALCHEMY (VJ mix prototype version)

Mbreyo's track `Alchemy' is given the Visual-Music* treatment by pioneering VJ/director/designer Stefan G. with a fresh take on Neo-surrealist post-psychedelia.
This is a solo work by Stefan G and was done with no budget, crew or set aside time.
The basic animations were created `on the side' in short 5-10 minute breaks & downtime from other projects.
Postproduction consisted of a live VJ-Style mix using a specially prepared and programmed Edirol V-4 video mixer.
This is just a special preview mix... Does not represent the final version or (given that it is a zero-budget project) does not show what I can do with some time & money!

* ON Visual Music:
Visual music is not the same as music video.
It is visual art performance of original design, film and animation - not a `commercial' for a song.
It is often performed live using advanced video playback systems and experienced on multiple giant screens.
They also require virtuoso interactivity to synchronize all the variables of live performance.
It can also be custom created for site specific installations.

Unlike traditional music video, visual music is almost entirely the solo creation of a single author.
The elements are usually made in very short time frames with little or no budget.
Traditional animation was like a symphony orchestra while modern electronic animation is more like rock & roll or laptop techno -- raw, immediate, stylistically innovative and distinctive.
