Well, ive sort of gotten lazy with the r/c stuff, but i have new plans for the e-maxx after consulting on the forums. Ive planned for a single 970 now with 25t steel pinion that way it should keep the cooling down and make the maxx more efficient. Oh yea, and im also having trouble with the frequency...

Why do you have the cooling vent holes covered on the motors?????? You want an overall cooler running system right?

@villain1963 What is covering the holes is a mesh material. It doesn't affect cooling at all, but I needed to put it there because the vent holes are HUGE and so pebbles could easily get into the assembly.

@777VAZ The shocks or motor setup? Shocks cost roughly $60 on ebay (search "maxx threaded aluminum" and click on the ones with yellow springs)and the motors are discontinued so yea lol

@THE24RCMANIAC yup pretty good, but these are some problems:
You have to refill them with your own oil, because idk what wt. oil they put in it.
They don't offer rebuild kits, so if your shocks go, you have to buy shocks in pairs of two for replacement.
Other than that they seem pretty nice and strong, but just ask around on the traxxas forum for people's opinions on them in order to get a better perspective of their quality and the different options available.
