情人的眼淚 was originally recorded by 潘秀瓊 originally recorded in 1958, however was later used in the 1964 movie "小雲雀", and instantly became one of the most well - known song in 1960s; many singers in the 70s and 80s would go on singing this song. In 1969, "情人的眼淚" (Melody of Love), a tragic movie was created. However, rather than using the original 潘秀瓊 recording, the movie utilised a recording by 姚蘇蓉, which was the exact same recording used in the 2006 movie "不能說的·秘密". The 1969 movie had actors 郭佑華 and 張美瑤. 美黛 recorded " 情人的眼淚" in 1968, when 潘秀瓊 recorded the 10th anniversary of the song. When this song's composer, 杜芬 (姚敏), died (not long after writing this song), every singer who had worked with him joined together to sing the final song, "情人的眼淚", before laying him to rest.
