Both the histories of the Runaways and the Bangles have shown me, that it was "the men" that screwed everything up. Both bands would have been much better of without them...In my opinion anyway...

Only knew them for those four days.Have no idea why Micki didn't go out on tour with them(necessitating the arrival of Cherrie),but Kim did seem to make her uncomfortable.After having seen Edgeplay,it looks to me like Kim would have been the least of her problems,what with those other men being in charge of the tour itself.Seeing things only getting worse than him probably made her bow out... Strangely enough,while I was a mailman,I met Kim,again. Same yellow suit. Same slimey demeanor.

I'm not sure exactly how the band got assembled,but the impression I'd gotten from my four days of hanging with them as they rehearsed to play live gigs at the Troubadour and the Whiskey,was that similarly to the movie,Joan and Sandy were the first two Runaways and Kim asked Rodney Bingenheimer for a bassist for the band---because he knew Joan wouldn't(quite obviously)play both bass and lead. Lita was also there at the time.Was better at lead than Joan.And Micki was the singer.

@cideprojekt Most of these songs were on the albums when they came out with Cherie singing them, Some of them were Micki writtin. They're were others Micki wrote on the 1st album.

Lovely to hear so much Michael singing! The RW had some great songs too ; never saw those colour pix at the end either!

@cideprojekt Don't know the origin of these. Some 1 had this on they're downloads here. I downloaded it on keepvid and the original person acct was deleted and haven't heard from her since. She also downloaded the full Pittsburgh concert originally. So I uploaded all the vids. Micki was the 1 that originally formed the band despite what the movie shows. Micki was forced out do to her own band being 20 years old. Kim Fowley wanted a band of complete jailbait.

where are these songs from??? I have all of the releases by The Runaways, even the "demo" that's really a live show called "Born To Be Bad" but can't find any information about these songs!
