4/7/10: Rush Limbaugh on killer coal baron Don Blankenship.

"At Crooks and Liars, theyre the ones that are putting out the notion that this guy Blankenship — by the way hes committed another crime, too — hes on the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce. Yeah, thats reported as though thats a strike against him. Oh, yeah, hes one of those guys, Chamber of Commerce guys. That means hes for big profit at the expense of the working man."

  • If you want to learn about Don Blankenship, Massey Energy and Blankenship's shady dealings with respect to his workers and unions, I reccommend the book 'Coal River' by Michael Shnayerson. Using interivews with Massey workers, Shnayerson tells the inside story of how Blankenship operates his mines, and the tactics Blankenship uses to break unions (amongst other things).

Rush is right about one thing: Don Blankenship is for big profit at the expense of the working man. That is correct.
