How did a film with so many production problems, a hardly a-list cast, and special effects he never even saw - result in him producing this?!
Think about it - nobody thought Star Wars would amount to anything - it must have been his sheer imagination that made him pour all this into music - because there's nothing else to go on.
This is the greatest work of action music for cinema ever written.
