CPR SCCA Driver's Challenge 10-17-2010 Mid-State Airport

This is the video of my fastest run in the 2010 Driver's Challenge Ford Escort at the final event of 2010 at Mid-State Airport. I finished in 1st place with this run. My friends and I go out to Lehigh Valley Grandprix every winter to run the karts there. They are slow to accelerate and the fastest way around is to keep the speed as high as you can, even if it means covering a lot of track instead of taking a short line and scrubbing off speed. This car was extremely underpowered compared to what I'm used to so I decided to try to treat it like a kart and keep the momentum up by taking a wide line and hoping the car would turn when I wanted it to... surprisingly it did.
