Shanghai Pride! Lol it's a shame I can't speak it to anyone here except my family, most of my Chinese Friends all speak Cantonese so I can't talk in Shanghainese to them lol

also, you could say his shanghainese isn't accurate, but according to my parents' generation, our shanghainese isn't accurate, and according to my grandparent's generation, my parents' shanghainese isn't accurate. It's already been influenced by mandarin so much already, i don't think you can blame him for having an inaccurate mandarin accent.

Both my parents grew up in Shanghai, (although my mom's side is actually more from anhui and ningbo), but basically the only Shanghainese I've heard, is from people on the streets of Shanghai, my old relatives there, myself, and my family. I'm an american citizen, so this is the first time i've heard a shanghainese accent by a guy who is a teenager and actually smiles. HE SOUNDS SOOO COOOL!! 8D I'm in love with his voice.
