Vipassana, means a new way of seeing, as translated from Pali, the language of early Buddhist canons. Mr. Flickstein explains the three elements of Insight Meditation: Concentration, Mindfulness, and Clear Comprehension. Flickstein was formerly a psychotherapist, and at one time was ordained as a Buddhist monk in the Theravada tradition.

@uilium mindfulness is bare of decisions, assessements and observations. it is clear comprehension that does the deciding and assessing . mindulfness merely observing objectively. the 2 are closely related but not the same.

the captions say: mindfulness "involves" decisions, assessment and observation..while he says mindfulness in "bare of" these things...quite the opposite
