Ok, here's why the space combat in star wars galaxies is super gay like Gay Al on southpark but with a rainbow haircut and a pair of penis earnings.

Because in star wars galaxies, an X-Wing can take out an Imperial Star Destroyer class capitol ship... alone... in less than a minute.

So ya, it belongs in the pride parade. No star wars fan would touch this game.

@Loliaz I'd love to see one of our US tanks take out one of our US supper carriers (that fields dozens of jet fighters), in less than a min let alone 30-40 sec. O wai...... It can never happen...

The sheer mass of of an ISD for example would take weeks of laser fire from an x-wing to turn to molten ball of space debris. Just shitty game mechanics, but I did love SWG. Now I play EvE where a battleship cant take down a titan, or a fighter take down a battleship. It's far from perfect though.

And why the heck do you compare a U.S tank and a Aircraft carrier to a game? Remember its a GAME if correctly done you can turn an X-wing into a oneman army. This had nothing to do with U.S ships or tanks, i had max'd out parts on the ship.

I was talking about the broken game. Any game maker can make a small object completely destroy a massive object. It's bad game design.

The problem is, there are too many games where we can destroy bigger ships than your own. Almost all sci fi space games do and it gets old. EvE online is about the only one.

I was just pointing out the lameness of your response to bradsbrain.

@doglucky04 don't be foolish and mistake a movie plot device (the tiny weak spot that causes 100% damage) to advance the trilogy along. It was required for "good" movie making. If you actually knew about the expanded universe (after ep 4,5,6.) you'd know that history repeats itself and if there wasn't a need to advance the story, the first deathstar would be built like the second one would have. So you point is mute.

@bradsbrains If you want a realistic space mmo try Starquest Online. The graphics suffer but it has highly addictive gameplay but required a little learning to truly enjoy it. It's got over 100,000 planets you can explore!

Not even star wars has shields that good. The only games I've seen with realism on the starship food chain is Eve and Starquest. Eve is way to automated though.
