"All The Pretty Little Horses" Ivan's Magic Pony

A music video set to the 1930's film Ivan's Magic Pony by Soyuzmultfilm Studios in Russia. It was dubbed in english as 'The Magic Pony' in the 70's :).
I have never seen anything about it many places so I made this video to share the fandom :)

well that may be true but i knen a ressian who did a wonderful job with horses and they did not look like this any way i guess who have to fine that right art peson well take care

I didn't mean that all Russians drew like that, I just meant it is the older traditional style that their older storybooks and things draw them in, a part of their culture. Like how traditional old Chinese horse pictures have very fat bodies...It is a wonderful way of seeing the history of art...I don't think I would like art as much as I do if every part of the world was to draw everything realistically..Like Ivan's character himself and his rosey cheeks that they use on traditional dolls :)

Its not that its just well the horses neck are way to long and the body does not go with the head, the only reason i say this is because I use to have a horse and well my husband loves to draw but you are right the story line was great and like i said so was your music video please keep up the good work and take care

That is the russian artistic way of drawing horses though, it's not made to be realistic :). I love seeing how other cultures draw horses artistically :)

this movie was fantastic! the orignal 1947 movie decayed over time so the soviet union company redid the filmin 1975 and this film was part of a film exchange between fil;ms by jove and soutmuzfilm ( can't spell it properly :( ) which is nwo the film we know and love! but don't buy the dvd version. the orignal russian score and english dub that was on the 90s cassete has been replaced wiht crap.

I loved this movie as a child..everytime i would ask someone about it, they had no idea what i was talking about. Glad i came across this. Brings back a lot of memories.

From Wikipediea: "The Humpbacked Horse Dubbed in the United States as "The Magic Pony," (Russian: Конёк-Горбуно́к; tr.:Konyok Gorbunok) is a 1947 Soviet/Russian traditionally-animated feature film directed by Ivan Ivanov-Vano and produced by the Soyuzmultfilm studio in Moscow. The film is based on the poem by Pyotr Pavlovich Yershov, and because of this everyone in the film speaks in rhymes. A remake was made in 1975 by the same director and studio" This version was made in 1975.

My mom sang this lullaby to me and my younger siblings. My baby sister, that is three just came up to me and told me to hold her and sing to her. When I asked her what she wanted me to sing to her, she started singing.."baby, dont cry" and it immediately came to me what she was trying to sing, so I ran to my mom told her, and listened to her sing it to my sister. I never really learned the song. haha. just the sound of my mom's soft voice singing it :]

Aw...my mom used to sing this to me to get me to sleep when I was really little.
