Black Harmony Gathering 2008

I filmed this for Multicultural Arts Victoria. It is the Black Harmony Gathering, an annual event held in the heart of Indigenous land and multicultural communities on the banks of the Yarra River. The Black Harmony Gathering is a celebration of cultural diversity in Harmony Week which also marks the United Nations Elimination of Racism day. The event is hosted by the Indigenous community and proudly produced by Multicultural Arts Victoria with the support of City of Yarra, Victorian Multicultural Commission and the Besen Foundation.

The speaker in this clip is an important Aboriginal figure in more ways than one. Since it is Harmony Week, learn what you can about Australian history and the History Wars. This is important stuff.

Is this another 'new-speak' word as redefined by the revisionists? All I could hear was a guy filled with hate yelling dont trust anyone. As for history, lets get our facts right before imposing guilt and shame on the younger generation of today.

If were going to have increased harmony, we need increased empathyempathy comes from knowing the truth about one another. This needs to be sought objectively & scientifically without vested interest from whatever lobby.

i think Aborigines should organize themselves and go to war, to get back their land, even if you don't win is better to die like men, or you can at least produce Suicide Bombers and destroy the entire country, make their life a nightmare, those bastards hardcore criminals from UK!
