Spry Canyon Flash Flood - Canyoneering

On Friday October 6, 2006, Sonny, Thomas & I descended Spry Canyon in Zion National Park. Blue skies gave way to fierce dark clouds in minutes and the canyon quickly funneled raging waters our way. 10 minutes prior we had just completed the 100 foot rap with the famous grooves and headed for safe high ground to witness the flood.

Oh man, I was there in October 2009 and we had nothing but glorious blues skies and a few cold mornings. How long did you guys have to wait out the high waters? Glad you made it to a safe place and thanks for posting the video :)
