We went back to see the field of licenced industrial hemp growing locally. It had been harvested.
It is wonderful that the farmer is growing this most environmentally beneficial crop, for the uses such as; fibre for door panels of BMW cars, the seed will be cold pressed for culinary oil, and the woody core
(shiv) will be mixed with lime to make building blocks.
That is excellent stuff, but it turns out that before the crop was harvested, some locals (described as "dopes" by the Surrey Mirror) were arrested for stealing vanloads of the stuff.
There is no THC in these hemp plants, but they sitll got prosecuted for theft though!

  • There are way more than 60 cannabinoids

  • @The559reviewer moot pint there.

  • There must be some thc in the flowers.

  • @toweronepower, this industrial hemp crop reportedly contains no more than 0.02% THC according to Home Office licences. Because it is mass scale there may be occasional genetic variation in the seeds used? THC is only one of the 60 or so usefull cannabinoids contained in the resin of the plant. So there is plenty of aromatic stuff left!
