Directed by It's A Wonderful Life's Frank Capra and written by Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel, produced by the United States Information & Education Division of the Army Services Forces in 1946, this authentic film proposes, "War with Germany ends in victory, victory leads to peace ... Sometimes ... Sometimes not."

There is no record of an American GI laying a finger on a German child.

  • The non-fraternization policy in Germany was a failure almost from the outset. The GI's liked the German people better than any Europeans they'd met except the Dutch. And it was virtually impossible for GI's NOT to make friends with kids - and vice versa! In the end, the non-fraternization policy was never officially ended - it simply disintegrated.

  • LOL, there was no German history before Bismark! It's hard to get Americans and Englishmen to hate Germans, because so many Americans and Englishmen ARE Germans.

  • @chouyi007 I was just about to ask what cathedral that was. I wasn't aware of any major French cathedrals being burned out in WWI.

  • the movie is very interesting and it should be a lesson for us all , they now are the most powerfull country in Europe and the people are very smart , if people respect them they can bring a lot of good things to the world there is no need for war to push things ahead

  • @alphatotheomega7 And then "Victory leads to peace. Sometimes NOT." I think they had that in mind 8-) Funny video lol

  • I had to watch this before I gone to Germany for vacation.

  • Fortunately, chapter 4 wasn't inked.

  • holy shit The German Empire grew through conquest? my fucking god i never realized Imperialist powers grew through war!

  • "You could lay the groundwork for a new war to come." That kinda did happen, with the Cold War.

  • It was kind of funny when Goebbels magically disappeared.
