@xxxcar3hurxxx Two words: GREEN ACRES. (from the days in greensboro coliseum).
And the Whale is back... kinda. At midseason the Wolf Pack are changing their name to the Connecticut Whale. Now all they need is a promotion (like the Barons in the 1970's)
@NessMencesal No, we're at 90% or higher most of the season, chief. Look it up. Plus, during the 14-game losing streak last November, yea it dipped a bit...that's gonna happen. The Whale only had 6-7k on most weekday games, and I'm sorry that just wasn't cutting it.
And when you get pre-empted by UCONN basketball, if further proves that nobody really cared until AFTER they were gone. Fans here care...and show up to a TON of the events the Canes out on, and in great numbers.
@xxxcar3hurxxx Canes have trouble selling out. This could mean two things: too big of an arena, or too small a fanbase. I'd say the latter, because they only averaged about 75% capacity.
Besides, the Civic Center was a small arena and needed to be replaced, which it STILL hasn't (i actually stayed near it at a speedskating camp in HFD, boring looking building, reminds me of the NJ Meadowlands arena or the Joe in Detroit)
@NessMencesal Fuck YOU, how's that?? Fan base in Raleigh is AWESOME compared to the crappy attendance in Hartford, you stupid ignoranus. Hope your FRIEND who plays for Dallas, gets hurt or killed, so you can STFU about it.

@MrHartfordHockey Yeah, looking back, the Bolts are actually doing decent, but Tampa is struggling with the economy; even the Rays aren't drawing :/

Preds are picking it up, and Dallas is a success, so that's why I didn't include them (plus i have a friend who plays for the Stars)
