as an indian - i am truly ashamed of these ads! I think the country shud get over this fairness obsession and realize that dark skin is beautiful too and that skin colour is no indiactor of beauty!

Brown skin looks as beautiful as any other skins colour and i find the whole concept of skin-whitening creams absolutely disgusting!

I honestly lost all respect for srk after these ads came out.

He has no right to call himself a proud indian because he obviously isn't even proud of his own race.

See I don't think its necessarily the physical appearance of race let alone an individual that qualifies them as Indian or "genuinely Indian" (if there is such a thing) but rather the customs and cultural mentality. You cant buy that so why let an ad "ruin" it. Unless you change your mentality with the product than I could see the damage. I wouldn't treat this man with any less respect than any other Indian unless he was an actual ass.

@foxyronnie1810 isnt it sad. i dont blame u. as an american black person i can identify w/ these. we've had skin lightening creams marketed to us for years....now not on tv anymore though but sometimes still in mags (rarely though). and then the whole light skin dark skin debate that goes on between my ppl. i wonder when ppl will realize that all shades r beautiful no matter what.
