Arthur & Gwen (Love Story/Viva la Vida)

During the last hiatus I promised destiny-chicken over on tumblr that I would make her an A/G vid to this song once S4 ended. I did not, of course, count on S4 turning me bitter and causing me to rage, and in all honesty I thought making this vid would be my most difficult project yet. Ends up that it was entirely therapeutic. While I'm still submerging myself into an AU world when it comes to 4x09 on (and I definitely made this vid in the mindset I explained in the summary for my last A/G vid), I was reminded about WHY I love the Once and Future Pendragons so much (even if the writers majorly screwed up). Anyway, this is for you, J! I hope everyone enjoys.

Originally I was going to make this vid follow chronological order, but in the end I decided to follow certain themes (with the major theme of the "Love Story" bit being, well, the love story, and the major theme of the "Viva la Vida" part being how they help each other grow and how they work as the future (and now present) king and queen.

Apologies for the wretched quality for the deleted S4 clips. I was unable to find a direct download and had to instead download it from YouTube. Hopefully it doesn't detract too much!

Gwen: I've missed you.
Arthur: And I you.

Arthur: I just don't ever want to lose you.

Arthur: I'm proud of you.
Gwen: Really?
Arthur: Really.

Arthur: Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife? Is that a yes?
Gwen: Oh, I'm sorry! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Gwen: We're not going anywhere!

Gwen: You are going to live to be the man I've seen inside you, Arthur.

Gwen: You claim titles don't matter to you, but you behave like a prince and expect me to wait on you like a servant!

Gwen: A good king should respect his people -- no matter who they are.
Arthur: Guinevere!

Gwen: I saw what you did -- earlier.

Arthur: This is no way to achieve peace!

Gwen: You know the answer.

Arthur: I don't want to have any secrets from you.

Gwen: Who am I to say what you should do?
Arthur: And yet it is your opinion I value above all others.

Arthur: Good council, solid support -- they're exactly what I need. I don't want a queen who spends her days floating around the castle agreeing with my every word.

Arthur: I won't rest until I at least try.
Gwen: I know. Just ... do one thing for me: please don't go alone.
Arthur: We will return.
Gwen: You better.

Agravaine: Our food will run out. Within days!
Gwen: You are wrong! At worst we have another three before he reaches his goal. Or do you think he will fail?

Arthur: I crown you, Guinevere ... Queen of Camelot.

Gwen: I trust you, Arthur. More than Uther; more than any man.

Arthur: If I never see you again ...
Gwen: You will!

Gwen: This isn't just about us. You must stay for the sake of your people.
Arthur: I promise that when I am king, things will be different. We can be together.
Gwen: I will count the days until then.

Gwen: I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking. It won't happen again!
