Bruises of Betrayal

A poem I've written inspired by closed minded people.

Bruises Of Betrayal:

As I commit myself to darkness, and try to live my life
I find myself staring in confusion at the ones who used to love me
They always question why, and they never understand
I explain myself and reach for them, but they brush away my hand
The ones who understand are accepting of my ways
but the ones who only judge slowly shake their heads with shame
Though I'm doing nothing wrong, they reject me just the same
leaving bruises of betrayal that will stain my skin forever
As you turn your back towards me, upon my knees I fall
if "I love you" is a lie, then don't say it at all.

Well done, I am 55yrs old. Married with 2 boys and 6 grandchildren. I was goth before there was goth. lol. The only dif. is You all got the GUTS! To express yourselves. I know where You all are comming from. We were born into the Night. Keep writting.

First off, I think you look beautiful.

Second, I read a comment about you publishing your poems, which is a great idea. However, have you considered creating cinepoems of your work? (Like music videos, but the emphasis is your poetry.)

You should look at the cinepoems of Ladonna Witmer, to see what I'm talking about.

Seriously, you should consider doing cinepoems.
