The legendary second movement from Beethoven's 7th. This is one of my absolute favourite pieces ever! So awesome, so epic! One cannot listen to it and reject the fact that Ludwig van Beethoven was a true genius.

The beauty of the film 'photographing fairies' brought me here, the whole concept of such genius made me feel a representation of both love and hate on such an inspirational piece <3

My school orchestra might play this for a concert. We practiced it today, it sounds amazing and the viola part is beautiful. Can't wait to preform it :DD

@moltoallegro, I wasn't saying that the tempo marking suggested a dance. It's obvious by listening that it's a dance. In fact, the symphony has been called "...the apotheosis of the dance".

@wx44wx99 Well, the whole symphony is full of nice rythms and this movement, especially, has got a very strong and convincing pulse, I guess one can hear a dance in it. But I'm not sure I'd agree on the point that it's obvious.

Not too fast! I've heard it faster. Remember, it's marked allegretto. Also, Beethoven's allegretto was faster than what we perceive it to be these days. He'd probably think this was too slow. Keep in mind that it's a dance, not film music.

@wx44wx99 Allegretto does not mean it's a dance movement, it simply means - if one should try translating it to somewhat correct English - moderately fast or a little lively. But I agree, this is not at all too fast, even though I tend to prefer the slower interpretations.
