  • @temickab Hello i was at an exhibit in harlem nyc, the title is soulful-stitching: patchwork quilts by africans (siddis) of india. its about the africans bought to india i believe around the 16th 17th century. they were enslaved but many escaped into the mountains. this is where they reside to this day. a very huge community mixed with african and indian blood along with culture and religion. they didnt realise until 13 years ago where their ancestors came from. hope this helps. one luv
